Thrilled to see this Five Star ***** review for An other Mans Son, my romantic suspense from #TWRTPs Lobster Cove series! amazon/Another-Mans-Son-Lobster-Cove-ebook/dp/B00MW5SD2S/ref=sr_1_1?s=digital-text&ie=UTF8&qid=1421091977&sr=1-1&keywords=Another+Man%27s+Son 5.0 out of 5 stars Plenty of romance, secrets, and lies, January 11, 2015 By clahain (Las Vegas, Nevada) This review is from: Another Mans Son (Lobster Cove) (Kindle Edition) An FBI agent returns to his sleepy home town to break an elusive organized crime ring and finds the first love who betrayed him now needs his help to find her kidnapped son. Ben Asher poses as Lobster Coves temporary sheriff, a position which proves to be as much a hindrance as a help. He cant exactly say no when Kathryn Morgan, the woman who tore his heart out, comes to him with an odd story about her powerful husband organizing the disappearance of seven-year-old Alex. He has a lot of resentment toward Kate for marrying wealthy Ketler Morgan Junior while he was away in Afghanistan. Bens bitterness only gets worse when he finds out more about Alex. This bugged me a little. He has this compulsion to punish Kate, even though its fairly clear from the outset that there was more to her actions all those years ago than a fickle woman marrying for money. Still, theres plenty of chemistry between Ben and Kate. The books mystery element is multi-layered and full of twists. In fact, it probably needed another twenty pages to fully explore all the motives and connections. Because of this complexity, there are times it seems that Ben is more interested in getting his criminals than in finding Alex. However, OConnells villains are really well done, especially Ketler Senior and his henchman Bertie Hanover. Both men made my skin crawl. Ketler Junior, Kates husband, doesnt even try to hide his contempt for his wife and disinterest in their son. This changes dramatically at the climax, when we see how tortured a soul Junior really is. I think what I loved most about this book was watching Kate transform from an emotionally beaten-down wreck to a powerful woman determined to find her child and take back her life--with or without Bens help. ANOTHER MANS SON is a tense, atmospheric novel full of romance and suspense.
