Through your past gracious support, my family and I have participated in several mission relief efforts. We are excited to serve again this July in Uganda, through the Hope for Kids International Ministry. We are partnering with this organization this summer to build water wells and medical clinics in rural villages. Uganda is a landlocked nation in Central Africa with more than 35 Million people. Uganda is one of the poorest nations in the world, with 37.7% of the population living on less than $1.25 a day. A critically important project like this requires tremendous financial resources. Each of us participating in this program has individually committed substantial personal funds. However, we need additional contributions from our friends, neighbors and family members to completely implement the relief program. Our family hopes to raise an additional $6,000 to achieve the objectives of improving living conditions and providing water wells, constructing medical clinics, maintenance equipment, clothing, foodstuffs, basic hygienic supplies and educational materials to support the daily activities at the villages and camps. We are reaching out to you with the hope that you will support us in this monumental task of assisting some of the world’s most needy people. We are truly humbled and blessed by God to live in one of the wealthiest areas of the richest nation in the world. It is incredible to think that much of the world survives on less than $2 per day.
