Throughout our lives, we meet people with whom we dont always agree. Sometimes, they are our loved ones, and other times, we perceive them as enemies. For most of us, its easier to reconcile with loved ones since we know they will continue to be a part of our lives. But for the people we perceive as enemies, its easy to dismiss them and lose respect for them, giving rise to an excuse to curse and yell when disagreements occur. If youre someone who doesnt have much respect for yourself or others, then advice from anyone wont matter. But if youre someone who wants to be a good person, remembering to love your enemies by not making conflicts or arguments into an ego match is a great practice. One thing we at MB often say is that when you get into a disagreement with someone, rise above the conflict by not entering into a name calling or cursing contest. The below quotes sum up perfectly how we at MB feel about dealing with disagreements. Consider it our unofficial mantra. :-) Very often in everyday life one sees that by losing ones temper with someone who has already lost his, one does not gain anything but only sets out upon the path of stupidity. He who has enough self-control to stand firm at the moment when the other person is in a temper, wins in the end. It is not he who has spoken a hundred words aloud who has won; it is he who has perhaps spoken only one word. - Pir Inayat Khan
