Throughout the day we heard incredible messages that can help us build a solid spiritual foundation in our lives. On a message titled “Rise Above,” Pastor Pedro reminded us that God has given us everything to rise above; we just need to keep climbing when we feel like we are falling apart. “God never promised a smooth flight but HE promised a safe landing”. We all need to have a healthy soul to have a healthy life. (See III John 1-2) In 1King:19 we saw how Elijah, after having so much success and momentum, he went into a deep stage of depression. Elijah faced fears (see verse 3), failure (see verse 4), fatigue and futility (see verse 10). When we are tired and worn out because of whatever turbulence we are facing is when we are more vulnerable in our lives. Therefore, the following has to happen so we can rise up again. 1- Get Margin. We need to make space for God, so he can put the “new stuff” in our lives. We need to have moments of silence, which will help our soul. We need to listen, meditate and wait on the Lord. 2- Get it out. Always talk to God; HE is not afraid to hear us, nor is he surprised about what we tell HIM. HE knows what is in our heart; we need to let it all out. 3- Get Perspective. The Lord knows what we are going through. We have a massive God that is in control of everything. Our help comes from HIM. 4- Get back. Let’s get back where we once belonged. Failure is essential in order to move forward in our lives, it will help us get better and more effective. Let’s not focus on the failures of our actions; what defines us is who we are in Jesus Christ.
