Throw Back Thursday September 2009 >>> Humans are funny creatures. I have been seeing all these movies come out about alien abduction or the end of times. We often think we are superior to animals when in fact most of us could not live past a week within nature itself. We have huge un-necessary houses extinguishing thousands of animals and forests forcing them to become road kill and furniture. Some to be part of our history books, a distant memory. When we see a bug thoughtlessly we crush them as if we are tiny Gods deserving of deciding their fate. But we must remember we are the ants to this universe, our galaxy’s sun a mere spec on the suns of other galaxies far away. Yet we shudder to think, as we hire an exterminator ourselves and endlessly consume resources, that we could be wiped away in such an instant. Maybe we all feel it is the end because we are finally getting the feeling that humans in our current state don’t belong here. The clue that we are the real aliens to Earth. Why would aliens want to come and ruin Earth and “modern” society? Seems like we have already filled the role. Maybe people are finally becoming humane, finally realizing that intelligence being our best tool for survival in the past entails certain responsibility in the now; a certain kindness needed to be in man-kind. But it is going to take more than just a few organic cleaner products to make our existence on this planet harmonious again. To look passed an imaginary man made concept like economy or money, we have to clean our hearts, see each other as one and look to getting back to living with the zero emission energy sources our great minds of the past have gifted us. Shall we throw away currency exchange and hierarchy government to commune with the Mother that is our only known home? Most would say never, that would be too primitive.
