#ThrowBackThursday In 1992, I had a roommate at Hampton named Joe Manley who played football for Bethel and all he did was RAVE about some dude named Bubbachuck being the BEST ATHLETE IN THE NATION!!! One day were up on Mercury Blvd. and Joe introduces me to Bubbachuck and I think to myself this dude is WAY TOO LITTLE to be the BEST athlete in the NATION!!! At the time, he reminded Joe that he was playing for the State Football Championship that coming Saturday. So Joe DRAGGED me out to see what turned out to be the most PHENOMENAL PERFORMANCE I HAVE EVER SEEN ON A FOOTBALL FIELD... EVER!!! Bubbachuck passed for over 200 yards as the QUARTERBACK, rushed for over a 100 yards as a RUNNING BACK, caught an interception as a CORNERBACK, and RETURNED A PUNT FOR A TOUCHDOWN!!! So Joe goes up to congratulate him after they win and he tells us his first BASKETBALL game of the season was that coming Tuesday. So this time I dragged JOE out to the Norfolk Scope to see his boy along with Tony Rutland against Damon Bacote. Now just before the tip, Joe leans in and says You cant judge him by THIS game because he only had ONE DAY to practice. I give Joe my O_o face and proceed to watch Bubbachuck give the Hampton Crabbers 42 HOT ONES!!! From THAT night ON I KNEW Allen Iverson was THE TRUTH!!!
