Throwback Thursday FACTS, Part 2 The fellas... I enjoyed many experiences with my brothers in the athletic world. Starting with my Ace Boon..Kennedy Reddick Jr.! This guy is the guard of all guards. With the point guard mentality, he knows when its time to take the game in his hands and WIN it for the team. I think I speak for all when I say we loved to see him get fouled to take a trip to the free throw line. He has coined and lived up to the name as Mr. Clutch. (NBA Comparison: Stephon Marbury/R. Westbrook) Teviin Rashaud Simmons is the next one. I dont think he knows this, but besides KJ, hes the one Ive played ball with the longest. From Rec League to High School weve always been teammates. I loved Tevs game because of his versatility. He has been my PG, SG, SF, and PF at times. So I will coin him as Mr. Versatile. (Magic Johson/G. Arenas) Davelle Coupe Whitney made the game fun. This joker would cross you up and laugh at you while taking the jump shot all at the same time. We will be remembered by our epic finish against Roanoke HS or maybe Gates during the final seconds of the game. We executed the inbound play so flawlessly. We had a quaterback/wide receiver moment when he pitched the ball all the way down the court. I caught it and BOOM...2 points. This changed the outcome of that game! (NBA Comparison: A. Iverson/Chris Paul) Williams Redel is the guy I had soooo much confidence in. This guy was tall and strong in the post. (NBA Comparison: Rasheed Wallace) Kenny Ray Adams was our shooter. In his face or wide open, it was going in! I will coin him as Mr. Lights Out (NBA Comparison: Reggie Miller/Paul Pierce) Blount Brandon was not only a bball teammate, but we were the track guys as well. One thing about B is that he gave you 110%, but that was him in EVERYTHING! You wanna get hype...B would give it to you. Need that extra boost of encouragement...B would give it to you. His quickness was underestimated...B would pick your pockets...quick! (NBA Comparison: Mario Chalmers) Tone Carter was a baller! I dont think he realized how talented and athletic he was. I feel like Tone and I had very similar games. He could drive to the basket and score. He could hit the J. He could knock down a 3. He was awesome on the fast break. He too was also a track teammate as well. I was soooo jealous because Coach Klas felt that he was the only one athletic enough to do the hurdles...LOLOL!!! (NBA Comparison: J. Harden) These fellas are the ones I had more of a personal connection with. They gave me many laughs and we shared many wins together. There are many more that I enjoyed my ballin days with like Johntae Adams, Shoronmu Crawford, Lonnie Banks, Jansen Simmons, N. Farrow, just to name a few.
