Throwback Thursday. To the entire year 1994! I spent the first year of being a teenager in 1994, and I lost it at the movies. I was hooked by Forrest Gump, so much that I saw it 4 times in the cinema that summer. Then on cable, I saw The Godfather Part 1 & 2 the first night they premiered TMN Moviepix, what an all-nighter that was. I rented The Evil Dead on VHS for 99 cents from Video Update and watched it every day for the 7 days I was allowed to have it. Speed, Natural Born Killers, The Shawshank Redemption, Ed Wood. This was my new religion. Then in October My Aunt & Uncle were successful in sneaking my cousin and myself into the theatre for Pulp Fiction opening weekend. When I saw that big Golden Title card fill up the screen during the opening credit roll I was done, the movies had me by then.
