Throwbacks from ULANs activities and its members in the old year 2014. The old year was truly and great year for ULAN in which the organization achieved a lot of things. From hosting a successful Mini-Summit in March, a trip to Liberia in April by a three-man delegation headed by ULAN chairman, the hosting of the annual July 26 Convention which was held in Tromso, and the massive participation of ULAN in the fight against Ebola in Liberia. The Chairman, Board of Advisors, and National Executive Committee wishes to extend profound thanks and appreciations to all Kommunal Heads and their members and supporters for their untiring efforts to keep the organization alive despite the many uphill battles it faces. ULAN also faced tragedy in the year 2014, as we lost one of its found fathers, and strong, die-hard supporters. Mr. Walter Savage was instrumental in birthing what is called ULAN today in the little city of Kongsberg in 2005. Walter Savage departed this life on July 12, 2014, leaving us to grieve his absence from ULAN and the entire Liberian community in Norway.The Chairman, Board of Advisors, and National Executive Committee and all Kommunal Heads and their members and supporters share the pain of this loss, and wish to mention that the organization and its members stand by the bereaved family of Mr. Savage. The new Year, 2015 is here and it is expected to have ist own prospects and challenges as well; however, the determination, strong will and courage of the members of ULAN surpass all other odds. ULAN MUST overcome and stand. The Chairman, Board of Advisors, and National Executive Committee wish to challenge all Kommunal Heads and members of ULAN to galvanise support and rally around the leadership for a better future. ULAN has greater tasks ahead, and the fight to achieve those tasks requires the full participation of all members of the organization. Put aside weaknesses, laziness, busy schedules, petit differences and concert our efforts for a BETTER ULAN. Hope 2k15 will make a positive difference for ULAN HAPPY NEW YEAR !!!
