Thumblina is a 9 week old Chihuahua puppy that was an owner surrender. She doesnt even weigh one pound! One of our fosters in Fresno got a knock on her door late at night by her neighbor that was holding a listless chihuahua puppy. She had claimed that she had thought that the mother dog attacked and killed the chihuahua puppy earlier in the day that day and she had placed the puppy in a towel to bury later. When she was about to bury the puppy she started moving!! She was covered in fly eggs. She didnt know what to do and couldnt afford the vet. Our foster had the owner surrender the puppy to our rescue to give her a fighting chance! Mao rushed the puppy from fresno to Gabbys house at 12pm at night! The puppy was provided with medical treatment and is now doing well and has been placed in a foster home through Gabbys Animal Rescue. She was hypoglycemic, she had giardia and coccidia! She was fully treated and is now off all medication. Thumblinia will be available for adoption when she is spayed which wont be for a while since she is so small!
