Thursday 24th of this month concluded one of the most memorable - TopicsExpress

Thursday 24th of this month concluded one of the most memorable moments in my diving life to date. My family know very well that since visiting Vanuatu many years ago and learning of a particular war relic sunk off one of the country’s island’s shores, I’ve been meaning to return and to experience the shear “awesomeness” the President Coolidge offers. The past week I have lived one of a few dreams I have listed on my bucket list. Thanks to Warrick and Lizzy from ocean divers, I set out with an intimate group of divers for a holiday that will stay etched into memory forever. The size, the amazing conditions we had, the history behind her..... her beauty both during the day and at night.....words cant really describe, no brochure can really describe what divers actually see and feel when they dive this wreck.....which is why I feel so humbled to have experienced the past week with amazing people. Not only was the travel companions good value, but the staff from both Aquamarine and The Espiritu Hotel on Santo were truly amazing. Absolute professionals who went above and beyond any expectations any of us really had. In fact, of all the questions and requests I heard about, not one answer returned was a “No”, but a “leave it with us”. The diving on the wreck was a trip I could not miss, and one I will rave about for some time to come. But the pinnacle would be the treatment and service given by Rehan and his team. Big thanks to my guide in particular, Dave. Dave you are the man (and a fish!), and one day i wish i could do a 40min dive with deco stops to 40metres and still come up with 100bar in my tank! Tula, Freddy, Simon and not forgetting Adam, you guys are true gentlement. To the team at The Espiritu, Simon and Ray and staff........thankyou for everything. Your place was perfect for us, and I shall return in the future. I hope you and Rehan pass this on to your staff. You all need to know you not only do your jobs well, and have satisfied guests return home happy and content.......but we all left feeling that we have another home and family to visit and stay with when we return.......well, thats how I feel anyway. For divers (and non-divers) reading this, even if you have dived the Coolidge before, a trip led by Aquamarine - A Divers Space Dive Shop and accommodated by The Espiritu is something you must experience. These two organizations will ensure your stay is rewarding and memorable, as was the case with my time on Santo. Thank you once again to all involved.
