Thursday, 31 July 2014 09:20 CAUGHT ON CAMERA: Internet cafe manager covered in blood after robbers attack him with machetes. Robbers burst into an internet café and brutally hacked the manager with machetes - but customers barely looked up from their screens. The incident, captured on CCTV, showed two men bursting into the crowded room and slashing at a balding man in a white shirt. At first he tried to head off his attackers with what appeared to be a metal bar, but he was overpowered and forced to the ground. Brutal: CCTV footage has emerged of two raiders brutally attacking the manager of an internet café with machetes and kicks - while half a dozen customers (left) barely look up from their screens in the background Merciless: The manager appears to try and get up after the beating, which happened at 11pm last Friday Not content with knocking him down, his attackers then brought the machete blades crashing down on him five times before kicking him in the face and stamping on his body. Covered in blood and with more of his blood spattered over the café floor, the manager tried to get up before falling over again and receiving a sharp kick. The robbers - who had one point appeared to be dragging a young woman around the café against her will - then left while holding the machete blade towards the fallen manager as a threat. Throughout the footage, which was uploaded to LiveLeak, none of the customers appeared to get up and help the manager or even to flee the attack. A few looked round from their screens in apparent curiosity but turned back to carry on what they were doing. All the while one of the attackers was dragging a young woman around the internet café. In the background, other customers can clearly be seen looking at their screens without trying to help or escape At least five customers were in the internet café when the attack took place at 11pm on Friday. It is not known where the attack took place or whether the robbers have been arrested. The presence of Chinese language titles on the video have led some to suggest it could have been in China. COMPUTER GAME ADDICT JAILED FOR STEALING CLOTHES OFF WASHING LINE AFTER INTERNET CAFE COMPLAINED HE WAS TOO SMELLY Computer game addict Liu Ho, 22, has been jailed after pinching freshly washed clothes to stop pals at his favourite internet cafe complaining that he was too smelly. A court in Guangzhou, capital of southern Chinas Guangdong province, heard that he had been so addicted to gaming online, that he had simply stolen fresh clothes from washing lines and left his smelly clothing behind. The young man will now have some time to get over his addiction after being sentenced to eight months in jail for four thefts involving stealing fresh laundry. He was also ordered to pay more than £100 in compensation to his victims for damage caused while breaking in and the stolen clothing. He told the court: I was so close to topping the table on my favourite online game, I couldnt leave it alone, but I was getting hassle because people were complaining that I smelt badly and the Internet cafe owner told me if I didnt wash he would ban me. So I just grabbed fresh clothes on the way to the cafe and left my old unwashed close behind. He said he had hoped that because he was only swapping the clothing and not really stealing, homeowners would not complain. But four reported him and he was tracked down to the cafe still wearing a stolen T-shirt and shorts, where he admitted what he had done. -Daily Mail youtube/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=-X9PoyveSpw#t=5
