Thursday Devotion- Faith that breaks protocol God is ready to show himself as God, one who is great, one who is supernatural but can we press on beyond frustration, beyond logic, beyond emotions and just have pure faith and be willing to do what the Word says we must do when reading it? Many of us yesterday said we want that kind of faith in us. The only question is where do we get it from? Apostle Paul had something to say about this Romans12vs3 For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one the measure of faith. My major focus is the last line that talks about every christian being dealt with the measure of faith. Every born again believer has been given the measure of faith. How else can you believe in the God you havent seen and believe he created what we see from unseen things? Or that he sent Jesus who was born of a virgin to die for you? That does not make sense, it makes faith! So you reading this, yes you! You have faith, God has given you the measure that you need and you can even grow it. It is not an issue of having faith, its an issue of using it rightly. Tomorrow we focus particularly on one man who used his faith so well that it was credited to him as righteousness. For now meditate on this Have you effectively used the measure of faith God has given you and reaped fruit (which takes boldness) or have you buried it in the ground to return it on judgement day (like God will have any use for it)?
