Thursday, January 1, 5:00pm Today, Steve and I learned some new moves for Sidney. Since we havent been able to head to Lincoln yet, we ask about helping her with some stretching exercises. No only did our nurse, Dawn, show us several things, Megan from physical therapy gave us a few lessons. Were going to do these a few times a day to keep her limbered up. We can tell they feel good because she has begun to really stretch and even yawns a few times for us! The physical therapist said this is good help to get those roads and bridges built in her brain. Jenna and Aaron spent the afternoon with Sidney and Micah. It was good for her to see them all, even if she did sleep through it! They take great care of the Lawrence house. Penny and Copper (the cats) are grateful to them, even if they dont always show it! Each day, we can see that Sidney has improved. Im convinced that she might have had a touch of flu like Audrey and I, but that has now past. They are leaving the ventilator on spontaneous breathing all the time now. Today has been 2 weeks since the accident. Each day gets a little better all the time. ❤️
