Thursday (November 21)My Reflection The time of your visitation Scripture: Luke 19:41-44 We often assume that if an opportunity is presented to us, then we will have many other chances to respond to the same opportunity. However, experience eventually teaches most of us what God had tried to get us to see much earlier: opportunities are offered and then pass by us never to be offered quite the same way again. Today many still failed to recognize in Jesus as Messiah God’s coming to visit them and rejected him. God had offered much earlier and today the opportunities: the hope of deliverance, restoration and reconcile with Him. He love us so much , that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believe in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. He gives us his Holy Spirit both to purify us and restore us as a holy people of God. Unfortunately this same rejection plays itself out repeatedly even today; some can have their hearts become so hardened that they never wish to return to the Lord. Rejecting Jesus could lead to the lost opportunities and the destruction that would follow…. Are we going to lament the lost glory as the people of God at the wailing walls?
