Thursday Riot ended thier losing streak at 1 game last night, defeating Puckin Clowns 11-2. Leading the way was Brian Wasik with his league best 56 assists, 2 goals 6 assists, and Mike Angstenberger with his league topping 46 goals, 5 goals 2 assists. Chris Farr made 23 saves in the game, dropping his league lowest GAA to 2.99. Also Mike Mussachio upped his league high penalty minutes to 32 with Fred Angstenberger right behind him with 30. Fred recieved a 5 min major, 10 min misconduct and a match penalty for an alleged obscene gesture towards another player. It was a weak call by a ref who has a definite bias against Riot, and even after multiple discussions with league managment, continues to make questionable and unnecessary calls out of a personal vendetta, for lack of a better term. With the win Riot has secured a first round bye and can clinch 1st place over all with a win or overtime loss next week vs Nerd Herd. Several individual milestones are also within reach as Riot can have the league leader in the follwing stat categories at the end of the season: points, goals, assists, save%, GAA and penalty minutes.
