Artist Talk with Jenny Brady The Hub, @Limerick City Gallery of Art Thursday 5th June, 2014 2-4pm All welcome, free of charge EVA International has invited Jenny Brady to speak @Limerick City Gallery of Art on Thursday 5th June. This is a unique opportunity to hear about Jenny Brady’s artistic practice and she will discuss her recent video work Wow and Flutter which is currently exhibited in the EVA International Biennial, AGITATIONISM curated by Bassam El Baroni. Working primarily with the moving image, Jenny Brady makes experimental, narrative video works, which incorporate text, music and performance to explore the subjective character of experience and problems of representation. Her works are concerned with ideas of communication and the limitations of language, in which animals often feature as troubling figures of mistranslation. She is interested in the potential of the moving image to propose new forms of speech, incorporating gesture, text, sound and image to present speculative communicative systems. eva.ie/events-2014?item=112
