Thursday afternoons Territorial Officers Councils was wonderful and the program participants were well chosen...I especially loved Sgt. Tom Freemans worship leading, Capt. Nas humble testimony about learning to seek wisdom from the Lord, Capt. Linnetts confident testimony about leading out of love and Commissioner Debi Bells impromptu request for the Coxs to pray for our children. The General reminded us we are not called to rank or position, even he serves under authority...the Army is not mine, it is the Lords! Be continual learners...train your minds, but, more importantly, train your hearts. Dont play with fire, it will consume you. Consider today what spiritual footprint you are leaving on the world around you. Commissioner Silvia Cox shared honestly about her own parents who, as officers, thought they were indispensable and eventually burned out instead of remaining to serve. She reminded us that we are not alone, obedience is not optional and if we expect to teach the Word of God, we must be reading it. You must be transformed by His Word first before others can be! And, finally, dont act like martyrs, be passionate and enthusiastic about your ministry.
