Thursday morning mancave report, slept with my window open all night for the first time this year. The frogs and the breeze mixed with some distant thunder and some raindrops on some tin, thats some serious sleep medicene here in the mancave. Buy of course you also have Ike barking at Sweetie Pie cause shes in his spot at 11:30, I think he even tried Gus s trick of barking at imaginary bears or water buffalo to get her to move but shes not falling for it. I got home to a house full of cowboys yesterday afternoon they were planning their evening activities, I got called out on a gas call on my way to it I called my mom, I told her she needed to check on those boys that they may need her to go with them. Im pretty sure she crashed their party, which is only fair she crashed lots of mine back in the day. I remember the days of Wednesday night carousing and then the next morning, the milk barn would be let me know theres a price to pay for everything. Cows dont care I tell ya , my grandad used to take great pleasure in letting me know it was time to shovel out the manure pit on those mornings. It may sound weird but I miss shoveling manure and square bales of hay, I guess depends all in how you let things shape you.I think ttheres a lot of folks that the feel of a scoop shovel full of (you know) would do a world of good. Didnt seem to hurt me any and it always washed off. The good thing about shoveling manure is you always stay warm
