Thursday morning, not much going on so I took Toshi-kun to the library so I can check email, Facebook , Weather, and the rest of the world. The real world. Emphasis on “real world” as so much of my day has nothing to do with it. There are mandatory religious studies and services which in and of themselves one would think of as no problem but some of the people lecturing and preaching are just so completely full of it and themselves. Also you would be amazed at the number of people who fake it just for the bed albeit temporary! While I always question my own motives there are a lot of guys who just are con artists. Last night guy in bunk above me “moved out”. He had a court appearance in the afternoon and was sent to jail. No idea why or for how long. Nice guy and one of the few I could really talk with and his life seemed to be on track, had an apartment lined up and job with a small amount of assistance to get him started but that is all on hold now and he will need to start over once he got out. He was replaced almost immediately but that guy tried to start fights with a couple of guys and failed the breathalyser test they decided to give him. Might be a new record for shortest stay! This afternoon is busy, going to check out shoes, having the TB test results checked, a trip to local services to see if I can qualify for some counseling with a mental health. Hey, you dont go through this without taking a few hits below the water line and some damage. I so need someone I can rant at! (And not go to jail!) Half the places I have to go to for aid and information – it isnt so much all the sitting and waiting I have to do (As tedious as that can get!) but that half the time they turn into such zoos with how people act around each other. The tweakers are bad enough but set a dazen ones loudly being themselves and I find myself pushed to wishing them all poisoned at lunch. But in the good side people at my credit union lined up a couple of numbers for work – call centers working days – that may lead to out of this. Local, not far from the Square so easy to get to and they told me to keep checking in. No problem once I get that lifeline phone, funny how when I did not have the two cards I needed they were set up all over the area, every day almost, but NOW that I have the cards they havent been open. One even advertized they need people but turned out you need to own a van. Oh well, still trying to fall forward so when I get up again Im ahead of where I was! Zen hugs, Jos
