Thursday night music interlude. Jan and I went to see the Rolling - TopicsExpress

Thursday night music interlude. Jan and I went to see the Rolling Stones at the Forum in LA in 1969 or so and they were great. The Stones opeining song was, Midnight Rambler. They played until 2am! One of the reasons that it would up so late was because of electrical problems with the PA but also because of the two opening acts. Lou Reed and Ike & Tina Turner. Lou Reeds current hit at that time was, Walk On The Wild Side. Tina Turners performance was incredible. She and her singers/dancers did a one hour aerobic class that was unattainable by any one going on today. She did, Proud Mary, and blew the room away. Anyway, here is Tina and her act from that era. Ike had a great voice but, apparently not a great personality!! Anyway, enjoy if you dare.
