Thursday was a great Senior Trip to The Waldensian Trail of Faith. Thanks to Russ Dean for organizing the trip and taking these pictures! Three hundred years before Martin Luther protested the Catholic Church, Peter Waldo was offered some of the same concerns, and 29 of his disciples moved to North Carolina in 1893. They settled in Valdese, and 15 buildings remain on their 11-acre property. A gentle walking path was designed to connect the buildings, and a guide explained the theology and practice of this fascinating community.
