Thus sub-saharan africa was parceled out amang the colonial powers who imposed boundaries accordingly, as well as their languages. When africa was liberated from its colonial masters the past becomes and will remain part of the present. Even in the southern african developing countries , african union and many religious orgnasation , Africans are still difined by the languages of their former colonial masters. African countries are classified either as anglophone ( English speaking ) , or francophone ( French speaking ) and lusophone (portuguese speaking ) as a result of colonisation and retention of colonial borders Africans no lönger conceived of themselves as autonomous people controlled by an endogenoust dyanamic of their own but as mental citizens of other countries that colonised them those colonised by the french see themselves as diffrent from those colonised by the british , hance francophone and anglophone. Most Africans give tags to those whose accent is conditioned by the language of a colonal power. For example south africans call those who came from outside theis country amakwerekwere. These name tags imply that those coming from outside are different from Africans in south Africa. Stangely such tags are not applied to chanese , indian ,japanese ,and what people from Europe , but the bantu speaking people of south Africa despise a certain class of other sub saharan clans from outside their terrtory.
