Tiger Siblings - Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve =================================== There are multiple ways to learn photography...learn from your own mistakes and learn from others mistakes... Heres a classic example of learning from others mistakes...mine... The first image is the frame just before the two started fighting. Understanding animal behaviour helps you to be ready with your shot. Unfortunately I never expected that these two will fight and had changed the setting after this shot to get better depth of field to cover both of them (image 2). That resulted in increased f number and a drop in shutter speed. When the action happened I did not have time to change the settings which resulted in motion blur when the fight started (image 3)...hard way to learn from our mistakes in the field. But a costly lesson learned. Something which I will never forget for the next time...Though the motion blur has a nice impact in the image, would have loved to freeze the image using high shutter speed. 1st Image: Canon 1DX + Canon EF 400mm f2.8 L IS II, ISO 1000, f2.8 @ 1/1600, Evaluative Metering -2/3 Stop. 2nd and 3rd Image: Canon 1DX + Canon EF 400mm f2.8 L IS II, ISO 1000, f8 @ 1/160, Evaluative Metering -2/3 Stop. Heres the shot from Archna Singh who managed to get her exposure right and capture the action: https://facebook/photo.php?fbid=10153149614415021&set=a.10150527693450021.428081.538130020&type=1&relevant_count=1
