Tigress just got home from being in the hospital for 10 days for dental surgery (she had only 2 teeth left and bad roots which were removed), treatment of Giardia which had given her very bloody and frequent diarrhea, for eye infections which are totally cleared up now and a mild upper respiratory infection. Also, evidence of fleas! (Advantage applied.) She needed to be medicated in the hospital. She looks 1 million times better and so much cleaner and I think that she has put on a little bit of weight because she had regular meals. They only served her the raw ground recipe which I brought her every day. We were concerned about her being outside for a number of reasons, she being one of my 3 feral cats. Brownie was chasing her away and there were days we didnt even get to feed her, and we just thought she looked more frail. Shes not a feral although I cannot touch her - yet. Doctor wants a fecal sample in a month for giardia and we must keep her in the bathroom till that time, but she will get loads of attention :). She is crying which is not what you get out of a feral! They will not talk. So glad we took her in!! (Adoptive home sought. We have 11 other cats.)
