Tim and I are trying to work with Donavin on sulking/pouting. We both understand that he is trying to communicate how he feels, but thats not an effective way to communicate, so its not allowed. Last night he didnt want something, so he sulked away pouting to his room. We had him come back out and explained to him that he cannot do that, that he can just TELL us that he didnt want it. So I have been trying to find some sort of craft/board or something that we can make to help him learn to express his feelings with words. So far Im not coming up with anything age appropriate. We want to let him know that he is safe to tell us how feelings, no matter what they are. Ideally, it will eliminate pouting over disappointment and anger altogether because he will be able to immediately express how he feels. Does anyone have any ideas OE have any resources for this sort of thing?
