Silent Hour, Golden Mile (2012) [noHiPSTER Tracklist] On noHiPSTER critic is not made by us, but by us all. Every access, every single visualization, every comment is a signal, a signifier, a little confirmation. We have the feeling that the bus between public and artist, between work and audience, is lacking. The listening and distribution of music are limited to extreme approaches. On the one hand, there is the everything for everyone vision: putting anything in the big stream (YouTube, Spotify, MySpace, Groove Shark, Facebook, etc.) in order to reach as much people as possible. In this context, promotional rather than artistic skills are rewarded. On the other hand we find a stereotype-based channel where only certified pre-owned music passes, the one beloved by radio and television. This site is the answer to this space organization, that leaves out (in my opinion) too much of the art that is being created while you are reading. This premise is not futile or narcissistic! People who will collaborate with us has to know our opinion. We hope that they will share and cleverly develop our position, our ideals. As a musician I only desire a place where someone could go deeply in my art and spread it freely and spontaneously. As a listener I only expect of a site that gets me in touch with new quality products, exempting me from an exhausting research , or from the inevitable word of mouth. That said, lets start writing your STORY, feel free to express whatever the listening of an album inspires you, share it with us. The price of this freedom will be only selection: we will value the quality of the album you chose, the text, the score you gave to the album. We will compare them with the sites style and requirements. Send your story to nohister.it@gmail
