Time and again I read about the US Post Office losing money. Since when was the U.S. post office a private business, or a profit making organization? We never talk about the DMVs lack of profits, or the FBI, or the Department of Transportation, and certainly not the military! No other Government Agency is required to be profitable, as they are all SERVICES. The Post Office has always been a U.S. Government service.. so why are they required to earn a profit while other Government agencies are not?
