Time for Dhoni to relinquish test captaincy and BCCI to create two set of players. One for ODI and T20 other for Test. The test players should not be allowed to play in IPL or any T20 tournament and should be adequately compensated for the same by BCCI. During off season batters can join english counties. Shami during the Test was a clear example of player who has been playing too much limited over matches. Most of our batsmen barring a couple had no idea how to bat for a day(technique aside). Plus continuous tours means no improvement in technique of some for the past 3-4 years(or more). I have seen Morkel get Kohli outside the offstump quiet regularly, Rohits penchant for loose big drives are his problem for ages, Pujaras problem with incoming ball has been there since his debut.(earlier it was lbw now it is loosing his off/middle stump) Instead of wasting time in IPL these guys should train under Gavaskar and Dravid, obviously money is important so BCCI can pay them to train and not play IPL or even miss few ODI series. Australia pulled out Johnson for Ashes from Indian tour and they lost the ODI series, Clarke ignores IPL to play for Australia. Some people throw the example of De-Villeir as a proof of test and ODI player. Unfortunately de-Villier is miles ahead as a player compared to most Indian players so that kind of comparison is faulty. On the other hand Srinivasan/dalmiya/bindra are much more successful in minting gold so what do I know?
