Time for me to annoy some people again. Just read this truly great, yet perfectly simple, piece from a Muslim who is (obviously) disgusted by the actions of the men in Paris yesterday afternoon. Having sat back and watched yesterday as the usual closet racists and UKIP/Britain First mongs had their rants, I felt Id have my say. It simply, for me, comes down to this.... For many years Ive watched white people argue along the lines of why should I apologise for slavery? I didnt do it, it wasnt me, even if somehow my ancestors did benefit from it, it wasnt my fault and Im against what happened so therefore I shouldnt be held responsible for other peoples mistakes and cruelty a stance and viewpoint Im pretty much completely in agreement with. Now, with that being said, why the hell should the every day Muslim be made to apologise for extremism and barbaric terrorist attacks across the world?! Some crazy pricks with a twisted view who claim to be representing a religion whilst slaughtering their own (Muslims are the biggest casualty of Islamic extremists by the way) are not a product of the guy who runs your local shop. Or the geezer you buy a kebab from or from any other Muslim in our community. In the same way as I am not responsible for some arsehole evil prick, selling slaves and doing unspeakable and evil things to them whilst holding them captive. If you demand apologies from Muslims for these acts, maybe you should go and apologise to people from other countries for what weve done to them over the years in the name of God, or simply just because weve had the power too. Because even though youre not responsible for those acts....
