Time for more good news! MONDAY I started the week with a simply wonderful lunch at a tea house with two of my favorite people on earth-- Sue Fialer and Sharon Morales. At one point in our long high school teaching career, the three of us were at Independence High School together. Here are some pictures from that elegant place. TUESDAY I just love working with the parents in the CAAAEs STEM program in San Franciscos Hunters Point/Bayview neighborhood! At our quarterly Parent Empowerment session on Dec. 9, I surprised each family with a gently used laptop from our STEM program in Silicon Valley. The parents were just as excited as I was! Here is a picture of two of the parents holding one of the laptops. God is good! SATURDAY Today (Dec. 13), the ministry continued with the children in the San Francisco-based Carver Scholars Program. The Scholars learned the science behind making candles and made their own! My Ganesha High School buddy, Wanda Kurtcu, gave out certificates to students getting the highest points with Mathletics. I taught the Scholars about Kwanzaa and we ended the day with everyone getting goody bags. Where is the press for good news stories like ours?! Anyway, the week was another one full of blessings! #replacetheimages
