Time for the political leadership to swing in and apply some pressure to United Airlines - they have a monopoly on the air routes through this nation. These routes were profitable for Continental and I suspect they remain profitable for United. In exchange for de facto protection from competition, Continental was supportive of the unique transport needs of the nation. United appears indifferent. All of these nations are coping with tremendous health challenges, the Micro games lift the profile of exercise and open new opportunities for getting youth involved in physical fitness activities. United has a real opportunity to step up and support the islands this summer. United can shine in the sunshine. Or not.
