Time heals all wounds or so the story goes. I dont find this to necessarily be true. More like time helps create scabs over our wounds which are precarious and can be easily bumped and reopened. When u loose a loved one, in the beginning the scab is bumped off a lot the first holidays and birthdays without them, then with time those scabs dont thicken but arent as easily opened. It becomes milestones they would have reached which hurt the most, getting a drivers license, graduation and so forth. We lost my sister Megan when she was 11 and today is one of those milestones. She would have turned 30 today. Today there is joy to have known her but also great sorrow. 30 is big for a woman. I love u always Megan!
