Time to go back to work. As I reflect, hats off to the athletes, coaches, parents, and the supporting members for the emerging sport of STUNT. I respect the hard work to prepare for games and travels. The future is positive. I envision a day that teams and leagues will be formed with rivalry games and tournaments that are regional. Crowds will have fanfare with school student body, marching bands, mascots, and rally groups throwing free stuff like t-shirts in the crowd. Legitimate sport with equity pay for coaches, scholarships and equal student-athlete benefits. Believe me, I put my dues in coaching for pennies and fundraising car washes and being ambassadors of spirit and supporting other sports. Its time to showcase the technical aspect of cheerleading to mainstream sports, but doing so without taking away from the current cheerleading culture and environment. I believe we can collectively do it! Cheers!
