Time to look back and talk about Botswana. In many ways we prefer - TopicsExpress

Time to look back and talk about Botswana. In many ways we prefer Botswana to any other African country by far because of its huge empty unpopulated spaces, clear clean air, way less litter and plastic bags lying around and the people are friendly but unobtrusive. Lets not forget all those crazy wild animals running around freely either. The Bots drivers are also very curtious towards cyclists. On the down side there are no hawkers. That is a bad thing because the distance between towns is massive and because there are no food sellers between towns it makes it onerous to have to carry at least three or four days worth of food and water. Because the Pula is stronger than the Rand it is not very cheap to travel here either. The roads are fantastic with a shoulder to cycle in almost all the way from Kasane to Momuno. Hardly any potholes as well. Barring being scared to death by wild animals, Botswana is a cyclists dream and we have absolutely loved being here. We would definately be open to cycling here again.
