Although convicted by the Witch Trial court, the circumstances leading to --------- execution were shady and deemed crooked. ------- was a mother of several children and twice a widow. After the death of all of her children as well as her second husband, the “good ladies” of the ------- Township decided that they no longer wanted the stigma of -------- reputation. - ------- was convicted and executed without trial. Her ashes were buried in the family cemetery in an unmarked grave. The cemetery was walled and sealed with no entrances or exits. Over the years the cemetery has been neglected and desecrated. The stones have been stolen and destroyed and over time the cemetery has been forgotten. Locals in the area report seeing a woman in death shrouds walking the grounds of the cemetery and walking slowly along the wall.
