Time-warping to the mid-90s... I founded OUT IN LI, a 20-something plus social and political group for LGBTs and friends in 1996. Eventually we were sending OUT IN LI events and community announcements via email to over 1000 people, but AOL wouldnt let me send to more than 200 emails at a time (this was pre-Yahoo Groups even). The name of the group actually was taken from my very first AOL email address: OUTINLI@aol. I then changed it to send2alana@aol thinking Now itll never change again.. Boy, was I wrong about that. Ha!
