Times Herald Record Article September 1,2014 Morgillo is most qualified On Sept. 9, Republicans will be afforded the opportunity to choose the candidate most qualified to represent them in the state Assembly, 98th District, general eldction. Michael Morgillo is that candidate. Morgillo is not part of the same political machine that has ruled, and continues to rule, local politics. I met Morgillo several months ago and found him to be approachable, knowledgeable and sineere. He is a longtime Monroe resident and retired from the NYPD after 33 years of service. He has serrred as an NYPD PBA trustee, delegate and chief administrator of the PBA Widows and Children Fund. Morgillo opposes the KJ Pipeline and the annexation of 507 acres from Monroe into the Village of Kiryas Joel. He supports re-evaluating the NYS Common Core and believes educators in the classroom along with leaders in the education field, not bureaucrats, should be ev?tluating Common Core and its effeet on our children. He is commifted to investigating and eliininating fraudand waste in our government. He will promote economic growth, begin the process of controlling: state spending and oppose unfunded mandates.
