Timothy Hartsfield, Editor-inChief of the 1972 Warrior Yearbook. Before I post his goodbye letter to the 1972 class, I want to mention just a few of the activities in which Tim participated. I noticed him so many times as I was browsing the 72 yearbook I could not believe how active this young man was in high school. Tim was Senior Class Reporter. He escorted Junior Maid, Diana Powell in the 1972 Homecoming Court and also escorted Denise Simms, Sophomore Maid in that same court. He was part of a televised show called Its Academic 1972 serving as WNCHS team captain. He was 1 of 4 Outstanding Teenagers of America representing West Nassau. In the 72 Senior Superlatives he was elected Most Talented, Most Service to the School and Most Intellectual. He was a member of the Spanish Club. He was President of the Student Government. He was President of the Beta Club. He wasnt a slouch as a sophomore or junior either but I dont have enough space to include all the activities. Kudos to you Tim! The following excerpts are from his closing remarks to the Class of 1972. NOT GOOD-BYE, BUT SO LONG! By the time you reach you this page, the 1972 Warrior will have made the scene. Some will think its great while others will only find points to criticize. Nevertheless, we have done our best. As I look back on the year that has preceded, I find there is much to smile about. There were days with thrilling moments, happiness, joy, laughter and all became memories. The theme of this book has been one of spirit, the Spirit of 72, a spirit I shall never forget as long as I live; a spirit that will forever turn the windmills of our minds.
