Tina Pendergrass: You do great work: I go to Publix after my appointment, and I notice that this lady is looking at me, and not nicely. After a few times of me looking up and her looking DEAD AT ME, I say Hello. Do I know you? She says: No..I dont know you, but I was wondering who did your extensions?.... EXTENSIONS? HUH? So I tell her that I dont have extensions. THIS IGNORANT ASS WOMEN says, and I quote, But youre Black. Youre hair doesnt grow long. I said Well thats ridiculous. There are plenty of Black people with hair longer than mine. She said: Well...can I touch it? I simply dont believe that being that you are black, that is true. Blacks cant grow hair. Are you mixed with something? I reminded myself that its not her fault that shes IGNORANT AS HELL, just told her, with a big smile on my face, Well apparently, you have been misinformed. There were plenty of black folk with hair longer than mine. And YES, I AM Mixed: with my momma and my daddy. Since you are basically calling me a liar, perhaps you should research shit, BEFORE opening your mouth? You let all your ignorance fall out.But thanks for reminding me that Im black. I had forgotten. I wished her a great day and walked off. She is probably still standing on Aisle 4, looking confused.
