Tip of the Week: 1. The nails are porous and will absorb the dyes in the polish, always use a base coat to prevent this from happening. 2. Always use a fine grit file on nails to smooth out snags and tears so you will not lose the whole nail. Use a 220-400 grit. 3. Dry heels and elbows: cut a lemon in half, sprinkle with sea salt on each half, rub in a circular motion till the salt is broken down, follow with moisturizer. 4. If you have an infection in or around your nail bed, steep a chamomile tea bag in hot water, allow to cool some then place the nail in and soak, this will draw out the infection, continue doing this till the swelling goes down.
