Tip of the day from recent personal experience: Never, ever trust the transfer switch in your rig to prevent two sources of power from being applied to your coach at the same time!!!!! Here is my story and Im sticking to it: Lost shore power in the park. Started the generator so that we could have some juice. Forgot to go out and disconnect the shore power, which I always do just in case the transfer switch failed. It did! So, when power returned to the park, a total of 240 volts hit the coach at the same time and fried the transfer switch and some of the wiring. It is truly a miracle we didnt a fire! Very expensive lesson learned!
