Tips for Peek-A-Boo Parents and Kids GROOMING -Showering every morning or evening is vital to your child’s routine. It usually improves your child’s mood and prevents skin problems such as rashes and dryness. -Keeping your child’s nails manicured and pedicured prevents them from scratching their face or other peoples’ faces and also prevents sickness which can be caused by bacteria in un-groomed nails. It is also important to keep your child’s feet clean. Especially during summer when everyone is wearing flip-flops and sandals and feet get very dirty. -It’s important to keep a clean set of clothes in your child’s backpack and to always have your child wearing fresh, clean clothing. Remember that children are just like other people: If you were wearing dirty clothes, you would not be very happy. MANNERS Parents should encourage and re-enforce the good manners we are learning at Peek-A-Boo such as: -Saying Please and Thank You -Sharing toys with other children (If you don’t share, you don’t play) -Being Nice: No pushing, pulling, or bullying -While eating: do not talk with your mouth full, do not touch your feet or other body parts, chew with your mouth closed and do not play with your food -Washing your hands before and after you eat and/or go to the bathroom
