Tired of baked potatoes? Try baked onions! Baked Onion (one onion feeds about two people.) 1 large yellow onion. Butter or margarine. Seasonings (I use lemon pepper, garlic salt, and Rosemary ) Olive oil foil Shallow baking dish. Little 9x9 should work. Preheat oven to 425 Peel all the extra skin off the onion. The dried stuff. Wash it. Chop off the top and chop off a LITTLE bit of the bottom. Just enough to give it a flat base. Pull out enough foil to wrap onion in and place onion on it before second cutting. Cut the onion like in the first picture. Dont cut all the way to the bottom. Itll look kind of like a flower when done. Peel the cut sides back just a bit. Sprinkle seasonings generously. Smush thick pads of butter into the cut sides and right on top. (Second picture ) Drizzle with olive oil Wrap in foil Put in baking dish Bake for 30 minutes
