Title: Driver Technician Reports To: Unit Manager FLSA Status: Non-Exempt – (Nation-Wide opening) Date & Version: 4/19/13 v.11 Summary: Provide customers (clients, participants and unit staff) each day with a mobile unit that is properly located, on time, fully operational, and neat and clean in appearance - inside and out. Perform general support activities as required by the Unit Manager. Administer multiple health tests and related services in accordance with procedures and policies. Ensure complete customer satisfaction. Primary Responsibilities: This Job Description may not include all of the duties assigned to the employee and may be updated and modified by the department supervisor, according to the operational dynamics and needs of the company. • Safely drive the mobile unit and other Company vehicles while complying with DOT laws and regulations. • Prepare the Unit as well as off-unit testing areas for client testing. • Perform mobile unit set-up, teardown, and preparation for travel. • Maintain vehicles and health testing equipment with vendors (in conjunction with Examinetics, Inc. coordination and site contacts). • Perform minor unit repairs including, but not limited to, replacement of door handles, light fixtures, ceiling tile replacements and minor toilet-type or processor hose repairs. Additionally, perform routine preventative maintenance, i.e., empty wastewater holding tank and fill fresh water holding tanks, secure and work with local vendors for electrical and health testing equipment repairs, etc. • Operate diesel and/or gasoline generators as required, ensure fuel for generator is filled prior to each testing location in order to maintain back-up power sources. • Comply with all procedures contained in Reception Station Manual, all testing station manuals, Unit Master Manual, as well as other procedures and policies. • Primary duty stations will include Respirator Fit Testing, Audiometric Testing and Pulmonary Function Testing. Secondary duty stations will include Reception, Height/Weight, and other health tests as needed. • Prepare all station(s) for travel and set-up after travel. • Assist with medical emergency procedures as required. • Maintain adequate supplies in station(s) in conjunction with the Unit Manager at all times. Alert Unit Manager when supplies are low. Participate in periodic inventory of supplies and monthly equipment inventory as directed by the Unit Manager. • Assist the Unit Manager in the training of new personnel; help new employees succeed. • Entirely responsible for daily cleaning of mobile unit after testing (if not scheduled to provide testing services on the unit). Additionally, participate with other team members in daily and weekly cleaning of the mobile unit. • Make advance client contact calls four (4) business days in advance of testing and personal site visits, if required, to coordinate unit arrival, location, time, power/water hook-up. • When not at testing site due to errands, make self available to the Unit Manager via company cell phone for personnel relief, vehicle maintenance, cleaning site, etc. • Provide Unit Manager with advance notice of monies required for tolls and other funds necessary where credit is not acccepted. Handle and submit funds and receipts according to company policy. • Exhibit conduct, on and off the unit, consistent with Examinetics’ reputation as the nations premier health testing Company, including but not limited to the conduct at the motel paid for by the Company. • Comply with corporate requirements for timely submission of DOT Log Books and ensure timely submission of requested missing logs or detail as required by Examinetics, Inc. • Other duties as assigned by the Unit Manager. Education, Skills and Abilities: • Minimum two years’ full-time experience driving trucks that require a Class A CDL license. • Ability to read and interpret documents such as maps, safety rules, medical protocols, operating and maintenance instructions, etc., and write routine reports. • Ability to verbally communicate and interact effectively and courteously with client contacts, participants and fellow employees. • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide. • Ability to perform basic computer functions associated with equipment and associated software. i.e., Fit Testing, Pulmonary Function Testing, Audiometric Testing. • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with situations where only limited standardization exists. • Successfully complete Examinetics Driver/Medical Technician training program, including written and clinical demonstration of proficiency in all duty areas. Certifications, Licenses, Registrations: • Valid Class A CDL • Current DOT Medical card Supervisory Responsibilities: • None Typical Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
