Title : Senior ICT Officer Job in Kenya Details: Kenya Forestry Research Institute (KEFRI) is a State Corporation established in 1986 with obligation to undertake forest research, generate and promote improved technologies for sustainable management, conservation and development of forest and allied natural resources. The Institute wishes to recruit dynamic, result-oriented and self driven persons to fill the vacant position below: Senior Information Communication and Technology Officer JG: RF 11 1 Position Duties and Responsibilities Plan, coordinate and implement all Information Communication Technology needs for the Institute. Formulation and implementation of ICT policies, strategies and programmes in the Institute. Keep up to date with emerging information, communication, innovative technological trends. Preparation of ICT status reports and ensuring professional standards and guidelines are adhered to. Manage implementation on operation of Information Technology security controls and relevant compliance systems. Ensure optimum utilization of available ICT resources across the organization. Prepare ICT technical specifications for procurement. Supervise, appraise and develop staff in the department. Requirements for Appointment Master’s Degree in Computer Science or its equivalent from a recognized institution. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science OR Information Technology (IT) or its equivalent. ICT professional certifications: Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE), Certified Cisco Networks Associate or equivalent. 5 years working experience with in-depth exposure of computer hardware, software and networks and at least three (3) years managerial experience. Working experience with ERP systems. Database Administration Skills Good communication skills.
