To:- Ms. sarah hanson young special needs section Parliment House, Canberra Dear Ms. Young, Thank you for your recent correspondence in which you offered information to assist ship wrecked persons. Contrary to some assertions being made by certain biased media outlets, the Royal Australian Navy does more than just stop queue jumping country shoppers { aka, yours and labours future political base}, from flooding our shores. We do, and have always offered assistance to not only those in need at sea, but also those who have been ship wrecked. As to your assertion that the information you provided should have been acted upon some time ago, I need to point out that the persons to whom you refer, and demand we rescue, are actually part of a 70s t.v. show called Gilligans Island. As such we can state with conviction, and contrary to your claims:- 1} The skipper is not an innocent indonesian fisherman who should be offered political asylum. 2} there is no evidence to suggest that the Skipperis involved with any organized criminal people smuggling operation. - why youd want to offer asylum to a people smuggler is beyond me, but then again, so are your policies. 3} the suggestion that the Professor needs to be rescued as a national priority so that he can attend your future compulsory climate change indoctrination camps is not considered valid 4} Ginger has declined your offer to run as a greens candidate. She has stated that as an actress she would prefer to be liked, not loathed. 5} The characters who played the howells spoke with some negativity about your good friend and political life support, clive palmer. I believe their exact words were youd think anyone with his money would have more sense. 6} after viewing your recent performance in parliment, the star, Bob Denver , could only say ...and I thought Gilligan was stupid. As a matter of courtesy we offered the cast and crew a chance to meet with you to allay your fears. In a joint statement from the above, they stated .... theres no way were going to travel half way around the world to meet a loser who cant work out the difference between a t.v. show and real life! It should be pointed out that we needed to contact them on a number of occasions as they initially could not believe that anyone so afflicted would not be in any sort of programme and medicated. Lastly, I do not believe a memorial to the passengers and crew of the S.S. Minow is warrented, for the reasons above. - Can I suggest one for your political career? Sincerely, Admiral A.J. Longbottom
