To ALL our fb friends..Thank you for your prayers for Joanne. She has been admitted to Hospital and needs to have tests done urgently...please pray that those would be organised asap. BUT the tests, whatever the results, will only be the beginning of a long struggle ahead...All of this reminded me of Derek Redmond?? Only a very reading this will know who that is...Derek trained for and then competed in the 400 meters race at the 1992 Olympic Games held in Barcelona. Half way through the race his hamstring snapped..he got up and tried to hobble his way to the end BUT it looked as if he would never make it..Then out from the stands came one man pushing his way through the security..It was Dereks dad...The TV was able to pick up some of the conversation..Dad youve got to help me across the finish, Ive trained all my life for this race and so with the help of his dad, Derek crossed the finish line albeit limping!!! We know the Holy Spirit, the comforter (parakletos) literally one called alongside to help will walk with Joanne through this whole journey..God is faithful...BUT ofttimes God uses Dads and mums and brothers and sisters and friends to put arms around the one who has fallen in the race and by the power of their prayers, and their support to get her up and back in the race that she WILL finish..albeit maybe with a limp BUT as back in Barcelona, as Derek and his dad crossed that line, they crossed it to a standing, cheering crowd who had just witnessed the power of love overcome defeat....
