To All Parties Involved Voluntarily and Involuntary: I as a former National Title Holder and somewhat of a new face in the world of female impersonation, have learned many great things and have been groomed to carry myself in a certain manor. At the end of the day, what we do on stage, and the name that I use to perform on stage, is a brand, it is my business and it is apart of who I am and an extension of my character. I have been a lady and a gentleman up to know, but I feel like I am being played with and that my brand is being disrespected. I recently competed for and won the DIVA HUNT competition put on by Sabrina Love. Part of this competition required filling out a contract that had very strict guidelines and requirements that had to be followed as it would be with any competition. Part of the contract was that after 6 weeks of competition the winner would win $600 along with a photoshoot and 2 paid bookings. Here it is September 22nd , after winning the competition on September 12th, 2013, I still have yet to be rewarded ANY parts of my prize package. As a contestant I was held to the strict guidelines of the DIVA HUNT contract from Sabrina Love, so I feel that with this being a business she should be held to the same standards of a contract that I was held to. I have been given the runaround since the night of the competition. I was told that the money would be Western Unioned to me on the morning of Friday, September 13th, 2013. Still no money, then I was by Sabrina Love that she was waiting on the check to be signed by both of the owners of Marigny, but I already knew that Marigny was not even apart of the DIVA HUNT competition, they merely were just letting her hold it there. I was told I would get it on Saturday, the 14th, and then again on Sunday the 15th. Then was told I had to wait until Thursday September 19th. Thursday has come and gone and I still have not received any funds. But what I have received is a bunch of excuses and listened to her explain away the situation. Money that should have been put aside long before we started competing, still has not appeared. After all the promotion she had and time before the contest started , my money should have been in hand period. I took a risk being a new entertainer by venturing out to try and better myself and the community and possibly hurting myself from other clubs but because I believe in my brand and what I provide in entertainment I listened to my heart and followed it thru to the end. For someone that is supposed to be so community strong and only wanting the best for the community and the future of female impersonation, your words have turned from wine into vinegar as you have done exactly the opposite. Its not personal, its just business, and I feel like you are not holding up your end of the business. You have involved amazing people who were just there to judge, Marigny and its Owners, as well as other people who wanted to see this venture succeed, only to tarnish their names because they wanted to help you. At this point, you can play the victim all you want, at the end of the day you have not held up your part of the contract. So many times we as contestants, entertainer, are not given what we are due and we don’t say anything or we let promoters do us any kind of way, but today, I REINA MICHEALS PARQUE, am taking the stand to professionally call you out and make those other people aware. I may have missed an opportunity to perform now at Scorpios, but I what I WON’T miss is the money that is owed to me upfront. $1000 prize. ….. a photoshoot, and the bookings you promised, where were those bookings going to be and who was going to pay me those amounts? I am owed $1000.00 prize package period. Multiple copies of this letter have been generated and attached along with copies of the contract, ready to go out with your legal name and information. I don’t want to have to pursue legal action, but if I need to , I will do so. I am tagging all concerned, affected, and possible interested parties in this message. I am not accepting payment arrangements as that was NOT listed in the contract. I brought you the package needed each week of competition driving all the way from Hickory getting off work at 8, in charlotte by 9 ,ready to be onstage by 11:30. I gave dedication, professionalism, talent, and everything else required. Please uphold your end of YOUR contract. In closing, please people if you are going to do business and want people to follow the rules, please make sure you are willing to follow your own rules.
