To All: Tonight there are hundreds of animals that have just arrived at a shelter after being lost or abandoned here in NJ. Shelter employees and volunteers are trying their best to calm and care for these animals 24/7 but these animals are separated from their humans maybe for the first time and they are scared and confused. The animals have no idea where they are or why and many of these animals are confused and scared. Where is their bed, toys, blanket, water bowl or human family? Some of these animals will be reunited with their humans and there will be emotional reunions for many, sad fact is that not all of these animals will be reunited or adopted. Some will become long term shelter animals and some may be euthanized. PLEASE visit and support your local animal shelters and rescues. Donate, volunteer your time and become part of the solution. BEFORE you donate visit a shelter and meet the humans and animals and make sure you are supporting a shelter that is all about the animals there are great shelters, good shelters and there are also BAD shelters just like there are Good Captains and Bad Captains !!!! (I am a Good Capt).......... The most difficult thing I do in my job is leave a shelter after meeting an animal that most likely will not be adopted or fostered, it is emotionally crushing to me to know that some animals do not have a future home. These animals deserve a chance and do not deserve to watch the world go by through a cage door...............Thank you to all shelter employees and volunteers, you are all amazing humans. To all shelter animals..............hang in there help(humans who care) are on the way. To high kill shelters >> Put away your needles and WAKE THE HELL UP.
